What you'll do

At Frekuent, we’re not just building payment solutions — we’re creating seamless experiences that move businesses and customers forward.As our iOS Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of crafting elegant, high-performance mobile experiences that our users love. This role is all about taking ownership of the development lifecycle and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible on iOS. You’ll have the opportunity to drive impactful solutions from concept to release, shaping the future of our mobile platform.



What you'll be doing:

  • Design and develop advanced applications for the iOS platform using Swift.
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application.
  • Strong understanding of clean architecture principles and design patterns (e.g., dependency injection) to ensure modular, testable, and scalable codebases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and UI testing to ensure application stability and performance.
  • Use version control systems like Git to manage and collaborate on code by performing code reviews and contribute to improving team practices.
  • Follow Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines to create intuitive and visually appealing interfaces.
  • Apply architectural patterns such as MVP, MVVM, or VIPER to ensure a scalable and maintainable codebase.
  • Integrate RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services.
  • Handle data interchange formats like JSON efficiently.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of the code, modules, and development processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest iOS development trends, tools, and technologies.
  • Implement security best practices to protect user data and privacy.




Who we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least 3+ years of working experience in iOS application development.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English
  • Proficient in Swift for iOS development.
  • Solid understanding and hands-on experience in applying design and architectural patterns.
  • Proficient in using Xcode and other iOS development tools.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git.
  • Good knowledge of performance optimization and memory management.
  • Hands-on experience in testing, debugging, and troubleshooting iOS applications.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines to automate the building, testing, and deployment processes of iOS apps.
  • Creative and analytical mindset with a practical approach to problem-solving.
  • Appreciates the value of agile methodologies and uses data to support decisions and improvements.
  • Strong execution and problem-solving skills — you’re not afraid to tackle challenges head-on.
  • Takes accountability and consistently owns the outcome throughout the process.
  • Embraces feedback as an opportunity for growth.
  • Naturally proactive, always looking for ways to move projects forward.
  • Comfortable speaking up and proposing bold, creative ideas that add value.
