Procurement and Logistics Manager at Frekuent

Scope & Responsibilities

We are currently focused on the Self-Service or Unattended business, like - but not limited to - vending, gas stations, laundromats, EV charging stations, etc. You will work closely with the Sales and Operations teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to source electronic and industrial components from international suppliers, with a focus on cost-effectiveness and quality.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions for the procurement of materials.
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of components and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and evaluate their capabilities and offerings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and manufacturing, to align procurement activities with business objectives and production schedules.
  • Oversee the logistics and transportation of materials, coordinating with freight forwarders and carriers to optimize shipping routes and minimize costs.
  • Monitor market trends and industry developments to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.

Experience & Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in the electronics or fintech industry.
  • Proven track record of negotiating contracts and agreements with international suppliers, particularly those based in China.
  • Skilled at navigating high-pressure environments, maintaining focus and delivering results
  • Previous experience leading a small team is highly desirable.
  • Ability to thrive in a high growth, high-performance startup environment, demonstrating exceptional organization to prioritize tasks effectively amid chaos.
  • Strong leadership potential, with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving sales goals
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptability and resilience, with a readiness to embrace and lead through change.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English is a must.
  • Other languages such as Chinese is highly regarded.
