What you'll do

At Frekuent, we’re not just building payment solutions — we’re creating seamless experiences that move businesses and customers forward. We are looking for a Technical Product Owner to help structure and lead the work of our product team, implement efficient processes, and drive the functional and technical evolution of our solutions. This person will play a key role in defining and prioritizing the software roadmap, while also tracking the development and delivery of our in-house POS devices manufactured in partnership with external vendors (mainly based in China).

Strong organizational and process-structuring skills are essential, as the product team is currently in a formative and scaling phase.

What you'll be doing:

As Product Owner (Software focus):

  • Prioritize product initiatives based on business value and user needs.
  • Translate product features into clear, actionable, and technically feasible user stories.
  • Implement and scale agile workflows within the development team (Scrum or similar).
  • Coordinate across design, QA, development, and data to ensure focus and alignment.
  • Manage communication and alignment with business stakeholders.
  • Support the team in adopting collaborative work practices and continuous improvement.

As Project Coordinator (Hardware focus):

  • Oversee the development and manufacturing process of new POS devices.
  • Ensure timelines, specifications, and technical validations are met in coordination with suppliers.
  • Manage the intersection between hardware delivery and the digital product roadmap.
  • Identify and proactively address risks in the delivery pipeline.

Who we’re looking for

  • 2–4 years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of software development and ability to define technical requirements.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing operational/product processes.
  • Experience leading agile teams (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
  • Advanced English (spoken and written) for fluent communication with global suppliers and stakeholders.
  • General understanding of hardware development and manufacturing (technical expertise not required, but must be able to coordinate specifications and delivery).
  • Strong execution and problem-solving skills — you’re not afraid to tackle challenges head-on.
  • Takes accountability and consistently owns the outcome throughout the process.
  • Embraces feedback as an opportunity for growth.
  • Naturally proactive, always looking for ways to move projects forward.
  • Comfortable speaking up and proposing bold, creative ideas that add value.

While it’s not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:

  • Experience working on products that integrate hardware and software.
  • Involvement in early-stage or growing product teams.
  • Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, Figma, etc.
